Simple 3-8 day detox plan?
Anybody know a short detox plan i can use just to clear my system and feel a bit healthier. I need one i can do with everyday household products and not have to buy special products over the internet

Jane answers:
A common detox is a lemon juice detox, where you mix lemon juice with water and have that. I recommend vinegar, because it has been used as a medicine for a looooooooong time (think ancient Greece and earlier)…one of the things it does IS detox you. Mix 2 teaspoons in about 10oz of water.
Drink plain water while you’re doing this as well. Unsweetened green tea is also acceptable.

Betty asks…
Does anyone know any good detox diet plans?
I’ve been in Europe for about 3 weeks and I’ve eaten extremely unhealthy so I just want to get my body back on track when i get home in a few days. Does anyone know any simple, short detox diets? Does anyone know any good plans or links that have good detox plans? I really don’t know much about detoxing and I barely know how to get myself started

Jane answers:
Why do you not go to the local library as they have lots of books on detox and diet which will not cost you anything. If you have eaten badly in Europe for goodness sake do not come to America. Our food and life style will make you even more unhealthy. Good luck.

Water fasting questions…Help?
I have recently wanted to try water fasting for health benefits but am not sure how to follow through with it. So here are my questions:
1. How many litres should I drink a day (In litres, not ounces, I’m Aussie)
2. What is the preperation before under going the fast and how should I eat after?
3. How long should it be carried out for if I am in still in my teens?
4. What are the health benefits, the side affects (the ones that usually occur, but are not a sign of danger) and the risks?
Please, no negetive comments, this is strictly for health benefits and a simple detox I want to do every so often. Best answer receives 10 points! Thanks.
Thanks guys for your consideration, but this isn’t a weight loss programme! I’m happy with my weight lol! It’s a detox to get rid of any bad toxins in my body. Thanks.

Jane answers:
3 litres a day.
3 days before, cut out 1/2 your carbs and 1/2 your protein. Eat LOTS of fruit + veg
2 days before: cut out all carbs, cut 1/2 protein, eat even more fruit + veg
day before: fruit and veg only
After the fast, have one day eating only fruit and veg for every 3 days you fasted.
Not any longer than a week.
Benefits, you will cleanse out most of the toxins in your body as well as your colon.
Side effects: lethargy, weakness, possible muscle loss (you’ll lose weight on this, a lot will be muscle), you’ll have to go to the toilet heaps
Risk of fainting if you dont drink enough
the 3rd day of water fasting is always the hardest. After that it is really easy
