How hard is BUDS training (Navy SEALs)?
Is the Navy SEALs more of a Military career thing rather than a stepping stone? Are the chances slim of even getting in? How active are they in terms of warfare?
Always been interested in serving my country… Agh, it’s hard to put it in words… I don’t want to sound like some nut who thinks he can get a weapon and do as he pleases, but being on the front lines just seems “right” for the freedoms and people of the country. Any help is appreciated! Thank ya

How hard is BUDS training (Navy SEALs)?
Actually, not all of SEAL training is BUD/S. And not all of BUD/S is “Hell Week.” BUD/S is about six months long. With the rest of the training, it can go on for upwards of a year and a half. “Hell Week” just toughens you up for it.
Everything in your life is geared for your to succeed. You even get praise for trying… Even if you mess up. That’s true for school, jobs, church, clubs, sports, whatever. When you get to Coronado, that’s over. They only want winners. They don’t care how nice a guy you are. They don’t care how hard you try. If you don’t produce, you’re gone. Most find that out and simply quit. The reason for that is that once with the teams, you can’t just quit. You quit during training, the only thing you lose is your self esteem. They don’t care about that. If you quit during a mission, you can jeopardize the mission and endanger your buddies. They absolutely do care about that.
What’s it like? Like going to a deserted island out in the middle of the ocean all by yourself. All you have is what you take with you. The strength, the stamina, the courage, the desire, the character, the intellect, the perseverance, all of it. Once you arrive, it doesn’t make any difference how hard you search for something, it doesn’t make any difference how badly you need it to survive… If you didn’t bring it with you, you’re not going to find it.

It’s a career thing. You’re not going to go through that training “just to see if you like it.” It costs a lot to train a SEAL. The Navy’s not going to spend that amount of money and time on somebody who has the intent of leaving after a few years.
On the other hand, most guys only stay in for about 12 years. There are reasons for that, but space is limited.
Are the chances slim of even getting in?
One SEAL said that when you get to Coronado, and you’re standing in formation waiting for the fun and games to begin, look at the guy in front of you, the guy behind you, the guy directly to your right and the one directly to your left. Odds are good that four of you won’t be standing there at the end.
You go through BUD/S… About six months. Then there’s another year or so of specialized training. You can be washed out anywhere along the pipeline.
You only get to be SEAL if you complete the training.
How active are they in terms of warfare?
This one is kind of tough. They’re really not into firefights. Most of their activity is clandestine. That means the enemy isn’t supposed to know they were even there until after the mission is over. The enemy wakes up and finds their commanding officers are gone and all their personal guards are dead. Or they find that all their ammunition and weapons have been blown up. Or they pull up along side of a pump station out in the Persian Gulf thinking to load up with oil to smuggle somewhere, and they find the guys manning it are Marines and a few Navy guys. Or they find nothing because it was a recon mission.
I know this one guy who served in Vietnam. He was there two years. He says he’s “nine and oh for firefights.” That’s nine firefights in two years of some pretty heavy activity. Had he had even one in the loss column he wouldn’t be telling the story.

i was planning to spray paint my ps3 slim white after getting a new white controller and im just wondering if you guys could give me the steps on how to paint my console. Got a couple of other questions do you have to sand it, what paint do i use, do i have to use primer, and how do i tape the parts that i dont want paint on? Thank you for your helps

how to loose some muscle off legs and get slim ones….?
okk so when i was about 12 i was quite over weight, now im 14 and im normal weight – 8 stone (im 5 ft 2)
but about a month ago i lost a stone and then after this my legs were still huge,
so i thought doing loads of leg lifts and squats would make them toned and slim
- but now their bigger and they look really puffy- they still have some fat ont hem though, and they dont go in or out- just one size up and down, and its seriously upseting me cos i cant shift the fat/muscle- my sister is very slim and same with my step brother, and they eat way way more than me, and their legs are both – normal looking , i wished i hadnt done those msucle building exercises now , but i really want to get slim legs really quick
also i have this really annoying bit of fat on the inside of my knee and top of my thigh

How can i set up internet on my ps2 slim without a startup disc PLEASE HELP?
i have the slim version so i know i dont have to get any extra wire to do it but if u can explain using a step process and also i dont have a router.

Most online games have an option for online setup. When you are try to log online just trying to look for that option and it’s that exact same as a start up disc.
