Do you weigh more but still slim down when you work out?

I am 24 and I just had a baby five months ago I was about 130 when I started dieting I got myself down and since then my husband and I have been working out like 3 days a week together at home doing all sorts of stuff. I have noticed a little change In my waist but the scale says differently I weigh more and I am getting discouraged Is this possible or is there a diet that goes along with exercise too?

Muscle weighs more than fat.

You probably gained muscle, and lost fat.

What are some great leg exercises to really slim down your hips, legs, and butt?

I jump rope 3 days a week for 30 mins and have not really seen any changes. Should I add leg exercises and what are some good ones? I have really really short legs and I dont want them to get huge.. I heard doing squats and lunges are good but I also heard they make your legs look bigger.
If anybody could help me out I would so appreciate it. Thank you!!

Jane answers:

Squats work all of the lower body legs,calves,butt etc they also work your core and lower back.

Squats will not make your legs much bigger unless you use a heavy enough weight, if you stick to a medium weight and aim for 12-15 reps that will do wonders for your muscles

they are good for strengthening those muscles and improving their appearance and giving a firmer butt, thighs etc

but its best to train your entire body as you cannot simply just target one area, you need to cut down on calories and carbs as well as exersize.

I want to lose slim down my legs, butt and every aspect of me. I am 5’3 and weight about 125.?

Will running 10 miles a day help me lose weight in about two months? I also eat about 1300 calories a day.

10 miles? Good luck with that. That would definitely help. I am also five 5’3 and i am planning on going from 125 to 115 this month running 6 miles 4 times a week. I don’t really worry about my diet cuz it’s pretty healthy as it is.

How can I lose weight or slim down?!?

I am currently 12 years old. I’m not overweight or anything but I’m 56kg and 160cm. I have very broad shoulders, which I think is the cause of my weight. I eat my meals normally 3 times a day. Everytime I stand beside my sister ( 15 years old, 40kg, 156cm ), I feel like a big monster! She often tells me that I’m pretty but have to slim down! How can I slim down, or lose weight??!!

Hi,

Calm down. You are only 12 years old, this is the time where your metabolism is raging. And sometimes when you feel that you are eating not alot and yet you are gaining weight. That is pretty normal.

Exercise 3 times a week by doing your favorite sport for at least 30mins or more and you should see the results over 1 year. Remember the key thing is persistence.

Will 30 mins to and hour a day on the treadmill make me slim down? ?

I’m at 3.5 to 3.8 mphs.

Sure, but, you have to eat less too.
