What can I eat the first 17 days of the 17 day diet?
I really am interested in the 17 Day Diet as seen on Dr. Phil but can’t afford to buy the book right now. Does anyone know what things I can eat for the first 17 days? I will try and get this book after the first of the year.

The 17 day diet is simply a crash diet. The first 17 days you eat NO carbs. You only eat low carb veggies, eggs, and meat and drink water. The weight simply falls off due to lack of carbs which is the main bodies source of fuel. The next 17 days you slowly add in carbs but you maintain, on this diet you will always need to be carb conscious and the first 17 days are the only days you lose any weight. So if you need to lose more that 15lbs I wouldn’t recomend this diet.

Does anyone know anything about the 17 day diet?
I just would like to know about how much a person will lose on the 17 day diet after completing all four cycles. I know nothing is typical and it all really depends on your beginning weight, your frame size, whether you actually do the diet correctly with out cheating…. I guess I’m just asking if anyone could provide me with about how much you could lose per cycle? Any information would be helpful!

I have been on the diet for 3 days and lost 3 lbs.
My sister is just starting cycle 3 and lost 16 lbs and inches!
Once she is done with cycle 3 she will redo cycle 1,2 and 3 until she reaches her goal weight.
I will also. I don’t see any reason to cheat and I have not felt hungry as I have with other diets which
caused me to quit them.
The support on facebook and there is also a Yahoo group is great and I plan on living like this from now on it is easy with this to change the way you eat.

During the 17 Day Diet, can you use SPLENDA in the power cookie?
I’m on the 17 Day Diet, about to start Cycle 2. Can I use SPLENDA in the power cookie instead of TRUVIA? Does it make any major difference? Thanks!

I have no idea what the 17 day diet is. I mean I know its a diet but that’s all. I haven’t checked it out.
But in answer to your question, its like replacing bottled water with tap water.
They both have 0 calories. So, yes, go ahead and substitute

How much have you lost on the first 17 days of the 17 Day Diet?
My Doctor said that some of her patients have lost 50 pounds in 4 weeks on this diet! Im starting the diet this coming Sunday.. So im pretty excited btu tell me your thoughts about the diet!

In the first 17 days I lost 17 pounds. This diet works… And it really teaches you how to eat. I started this diet at 338 lbs desperate for some help. After Cycle 2, I went back to Cycle 1 because of the amount of weight I have to lose. I have been on this diet for 11 weeks and I have lost 43 pounds…. It’s definitely encouraging! Good luck!

Does the 17 day diet work if im not overweight?
Hi im a 20 year old female and am having trouble losing the last 5-10lbs I weigh 120lbs and im 5 feet tall. I wanna get down to lowest 105..but basically 110. I have been reading about this diet and I know I can do it..but does it work still if im not overweight? Thanks! And any tips you have please feel free to leave them!

Ehm, may I ask you why do you want to try this diet? Your body mass index is 23,4 which is absolutely normal. I don’t get it. To answer your question, it depends on what you want to achieve. As you are not overweight, it will be hard to get down those 10-15 pounds. Requires some starving. I don’t advise you to do it.
