Tips To Follow A Healthy Weight Loss

Whether you are trying to lose weight on your own or through a structured plan for healthy weight loss such as Weight Watchers, one of the hardest parts can stay motivated. Favorite Foods in Moderation
It is also important not to completely cut your favorites. The items that I refuse to give up are half and half (I do not like the fat free version), mayonnaise, salad dressings and even ordinary coke. For me, extra points for letting these things in small portions. For example, if I use only 1 / 2 tablespoon of mayonnaise, it’s just a point and if my sandwich is dry I use mustard and 0 points. I buy my soda cans instead of two liter bottles so do not go down. A soda can is 3 points, and really not a good idea to drink soda that often, I did it once or twice a month.

My options are another drink of water with iced tea with lemon and clear. If you use Splenda there is some delicious cranberry juice beverage on the market that are very low in calories and 0 points!

One other favorite for me is nuts. Nuts are high in calories but also very nutritious and can be part of a healthy weight loss plan. I try to incorporate just a few each day. One way I enjoy them is by sprinkling a few walnuts on my morning oatmeal for a protein boost.

Fiber as Part of a Healthy Weight Loss Plan
The fiber is generally recommended to avoid constipation, but did you know, but it is also an important part of a healthy weight loss? Not only does fiber help fill up, but studies show that those who are high-fiber diet actually absorb fewer calories they eat. Adults should strive to about 25-35 grams per day. Good sources of fiber include fruits and vegetables, whole grains such as wholemeal bread, rice and oatmeal. At night, when you’re watching TV make it a point to get up during commercials, and walk in place.

Also be sure to invest in a pedometer and use it throughout the day. Health experts recommend getting at least 10,000 steps a day.
