Some Questions About Slimming World Usa

Susan asks…

Why do people think Americans are lazy?

Why do they think we are lazy. And by they I mean most of the world. On average we work more hours a week than most men/woman in European countries. And SDFW if we are “fat”, I am not, neither are most of my friends. Its called tolerance. If i see a overweight person walking down the street I dont yell and call them fat and lazy. I am sure most people in th USA wont either. Although there are those losers who will but they are every where. We are an “on the go” nation. we demand things now, fast food just fits our lifestyle. and frankly with all the pressure put on being fit a lot of Americans are slimming down and going to the gym etc…
Thank you to anybody who took the time to read this. Please no stupid answers.

Jane answers:

I’m Canadian.

It’s easy for non-Americans to stereotype Americans as lazy and fat because then we don’t have to actually think for ourselves and learn what Americans are really like.

I have many American relatives who are the bomb! They are awesome. Yet I know so many of my fellow Canadians love to call all Americans stupid and fat and lazy. Yet we in Canada are no better. Our obesity rates have skyrocketed!

Just chalk it up to their watching too much of The Simpsons and thinking Disney World is the REAL AMerica.

How HBK Got Under The Chamber, WrestleMania 26 Sponsor?

For those wondering how Shawn Michaels got under the chamber at last night’s Elimination Chamber PPV, several fans who attended the show noted that while the viewers were watching the recap of the Raw Chamber match from earlier in the night, the lights went out in the arena and only the TitanTron was on. In the darkness, several crew members made their way to the ring and HBK was hidden amongst them. This is how Hornswoggle usually gets under the ring at events.

WWE has issued the following press release:

Slim Jim(R) Named Presenting Sponsor of Wrestlemania XXVI(R)

STAMFORD, Conn., Feb 22, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) — World Wrestling Entertainment(R) and Slim Jim(R) announced today an integrated promotional deal. Slim Jim, a ConAgra Foods(R) brand, will be the “Official Meat Snack of WWE” and is the presenting sponsor of WWE’s WrestleMania(R) XXVI, in Glendale, Arizona on March 28 and SummerSlam(R), in Los Angeles, California on August 15. As part of the deal, WWE Superstar Edge(R) will serve as a spokesperson for Slim Jim.

The one-year deal extends the relationship begun last year as part of the brand’s “Spicy Side” campaign and shows consumers what happens when their alter ego encounters the snap of the bold and spicy flavor of a Slim Jim. It will feature numerous promotional activities involving WWE’s television programming, WWE.com, live events and publications throughout the year.

On behalf of Slim Jim, Edge will be making personal appearances and hosting the “Live Like Edge” sweepstakes as well as “The Slim Jim Showdown,” a mobile phone contest. A new “Spicy Side” commercial featuring Edge will debut on USA Network and MyNetworkTV during Monday Night Raw(R) and Friday Night SmackDown(R), as well as online at SpicySide.com and WWE.com. The commercial will also be seen at more than 300 WWE live events throughout the year.
The “Spicy Side” campaign demonstrates the constructive energy one’s alter ego may experience following the over-the-top, ‘rip-and-tear’ eating experience of Slim Jim. The campaign integrates TV, experiential marketing, in-store, online and public relations activities, as well as an interactive Web site at www.spicyside.com that offers gaming and social networking experiences.

Maria asks…

Why don’t Mexicans, illegal immigrants here in the US stay home and improve their own country for their people?

Carlos Slim: The richest man in the world lives is Mexican and lives in Mexico. What is going on in that country? Is a revolution needed?

Is it also true that they should rise up in revolution, the mexican government would request help from USA, and get it. We can’t have a revolution on our southern border, so us troops would be sent in. those troops would attempt to squash the insurgency. As evidenced in iraq, the us government considers insurgency as criminal, american troops would be killing these same people trying to change their country.

Jane answers:

Your funny. Mexico has pretty much been at war with itself for what seems like ever. That is the reason there is stability and the reason they want to work up and move up here. Stability. We haven’t gone in to help them because we have never figured out which side to help. The government is as corrupt as can be and the revolutionaries are funded in part by the drug cartels. They, by the way have as much if not more power in some locations.

Jane answers:

Americans are too small minded to be able to separate the actions of different people. As far as Americans are concerned only Americans are capable of having different ideas from each other. Everyone else is exactly the same as first guy they met from there.

Carol asks…

Carlos Slim are you kidding me??????

The 2nd richest man in the world is from Mexico? Are you kidding me? Eminem needs to hand over the “Slim Shady” gloss to this joker! In a land where 85% of the population is under the poverty line, this jerko heaps up 56 Billion? Thats “Billion,” with a “B!” Way to go tough guy, surely you can squeeze the rest of the life out of your country if you just try harder… People just don’t understand you man. I got the love for you, so let me help the peeps in your contryman’s new home, the USA, understand how you roll. I mean I feel for you brother – where you ‘re coming from dude, doesn’t a decent 3 bedroom tin shack cost about 40 Billion anyway? And tortillas must be, what, 1 Billion a pack? Oh yeah, that’s pesos, not dollars… my bad, you are a jerk. On second thought, I’m not going to sponser one of those starving kids – if you can’t do it with 56 Billion, I certainly can’t do it with my 10 bucks and whatever change I find in my sofa! Whatever dude…

Jane answers:
