Carol asks…
What styles of dresses would you recommend for a teenager with a large chest and smaller bottom-half?
I have a lot of trouble finding dresses because of my shape – large chest, very small frame with very slim bottom half – very little curves.
what sort of dress do you think would look good on me?
i always have issues with the bottom half because everything that fits on my top is too big on the bottom, and vise versa.
any suggestions?
please provide links
preferably a dress under $50
thanks!

Jane answers:
Lol I’m the opposite. Many Victoria Secret Models have big chests and no a$$. Maybe you should look at Melissa Miller as fashion inspiration

Mandy asks…
Types of dresses for a very slim figure?
I am very slim and i have a dance/prom thing comming up and the girls wear (not formal at all) sundresses kinda things. I was wondering what type of dress flatters a thin figur without making you look TOO thin. for ex:: halter, strapless, short, long, be detailed plz =]

Jane answers:
I think you should go for dresses that have empire waists, especially if you are thin because it is fitted at the top and will flow outwards to make you appear as though you have the curves in all the right places. Dresses that also gather in the midsection can also give the illusion of an hourglass figure. Also, you shouldn’t wear anything that is too slingy, that is, material that will conform to your body shape because then it will really expose how thin you are.
Now I don’t know how casual the dance is, but an example of a dress that would be good for someone who is thin is this dress (you don’t have to go for this exact style, it is just to give you an idea of what kind of waist you should look for in a dress):

Or even something like this:

These links are just to help you get a better picture of what I mean by a high waist or some kind of gathering at the waist to make you look less think and more curvy. Hope this helps!

Where can I find plus size mother of the bride dresses?
My mom is so discouraged that she can’t find a dress for my wedding that is in November. She’s been everywhere, but can’t find anything. She is probably a size 18 or 20, so it makes her options pretty slim. Does anyone know where she can find some dresses that would fit and be flattering on someone of her size?

Jane answers:
Actually, size 18 or 20 shouldn’t be too difficult at all. Here is a spot that has about 300 brand new mother of the bride dresses, the majority of which run up to size 24…
